Consignment Sale Review: JBF McKinney

Last Friday, I shopped at the JBF Mckinney kids consignment sale. It was one of the biggest sales I’ve been to this fall. I would definitely go back.

JBF Mckinney Review

What I thought of JBF Mckinney:

The sale was located in a hotel just off of highway 75 and Stacy Rd. in Allen, TX. It was easy to find and there was free parking! There were several cute boutique booths set up outside the sale. I saw some adorable hair bows that I wanted for Jaye, but I didn’t stop because I was in a hurry to shop the sale and still have time to pick out bathroom tile before getting Jaye from Mother’s Day Out. I was greeted by a friendly face at the door, and they had big blue bags to help hold all my loot.

I headed to the girls 2T section first. It was crammed so full of clothes that I had to shove some aside to look at others. It made shopping a little trickier, but I much prefer that to empty racks! So it was really a good problem to have. I have a friend who had shopped earlier in the day for her little man. She reported that the boys section was slimmer pickings with more stained or worn items, but she still found a few good things.

The JBF Mckinney sale also had a big shoe section, which is usually my favorite, but I avoided it this time just because Jaye already has a ton of shoes for the fall. I was also impressed by the toy section. I almost bought Jaye a doll stroller, which was half the price for the same thing as baby strollers I’d seen at other JBF sales this fall. (I ended up passing on it because the fabric was Disney Princesses, and I don’t need another makeover project right now.)

I showed huge restraint (being rushed for time helped) and only got two items. But it certainly wasn’t because there wasn’t enough to buy! I got Jaye the most adorable jumper ever for next fall (It’s 3T and sort of fits her now, but is kind of big). It’s American Girl brand and was $8 including the shirt. I also got this fun, vintage-looking puzzle to add to our collection. It’s hard to find puzzles that have something different on them. So many are just animals.

Would I Shop Again at JBF Mckinney?

Yes. I would definitely come back again. The selection and quantity was great. The only downside was that the aisle were pretty narrow and would have been hard to navigate with a stroller.
